Therapies

Classical Chinese Medicine uses several techniques, combined to suit each case. At the first visit we talk things through and decide together which ones are most suitable.

Acupuncture

Very fine needles placed at specific points of the body to support balance and the body’s functions. We use sterile, single-use needles.

Moxibustion

Gentle heat from mugwort applied over points of the body, without touching the skin. Depending on the case, a TDP lamp may be used instead.

Electro-acupuncture

A very mild, painless electric current between the needles, complementing the acupuncture session.

Tui Na massage

Chinese therapeutic massage. We also offer manual lymphatic drainage, relaxing massage and pregnancy massage from the third month.

Cupping · Hijama

Cups that create suction on the skin to stimulate local circulation and relax the muscles.

Chinese dietetics

Eating and cooking guidelines tailored to each person, following the principles of Chinese medicine.

The centre

Acupuntura Figueres was created to bring Classical Chinese Medicine to the Empordà, respecting the body’s natural rhythms, both to recover health and to maintain it.

My name is Raffaella Pulejo. I was born in Italy and have lived in Catalonia for more than twenty years. After years of practice in Barcelona and in China, I opened the centre in Figueres.
